April fun...

Chris and I started April with a complete re-do of the yard and a deep cleaning of the inside of the house. Both looked fantastic! When Mylie got tired of helping me clean, she went outside to watch Daddy work in the yard!

The weekend before my Birthday we had a family party at Grandma and Grandpa's.

Sarah made an AWESOME cake. If only I had seen myself in this picture, I might have consumed less cake.

Laura and I decided to get a room at The Westin Galleria for our Birthdays. We shopped and then had a great Birthday dinner at the Cheesecake Factory!...then we shopped some more :o)

Laura with our impressive shopping accomplishments.

After dinner and lots of shopping, we went back to our room and ate cheesecake, drank wine (which took Laura a VERY long time to open with her $2 corkscrew hahahahaha), read stupid girly magazines, and played M.A.S.H. Yes, you heard me, M.A.S.H.

Cheers to 13 Birthdays together (we're 26....)

Balcony pics from our room at The Westin Galleria.

Birthday morning with the best gift I have ever gotten (although technically she was a Mother's Day gift 2 years ago...close enough :o))

Chris, Mylie and I headed to Mom and Dad's on my Birthday for some relaxing family time.

With my loves on my Birthday :o)

We planted grass seed in the backyard...and then this happened. We are afraid the seed was washed into the neighbors yard as their yard is blooming magnificently and ours...is not. Grrr!

We were really excited for Mamar and Papaw to get to see the house for the first time! They wanted a picture, of course!

The weekend of the 16th Chris, me, Mom, Dad, Mamar, Papaw, Matt and Mandy went to one of Uncle Ken's gigs at a golf course in Cypress and it was a lot of fun! The weather was gorgeous and it's always nice to spend a Friday night with family :o)

Matt and his girlfriend, Mandy.

The last weekend in April, Laura and Brecca joined Chris, Mylie, and I for a night of Mario Kart Wii, peachtinis, pizza, Scrabble, and movies. Chris was the bartender, the drinks were AWESOME!

We moved the kitchen table into the living room so we could play games and watch movies without the dogs spilling our food/drink!
April was a GREAT month which was nice because this month I start full time summer school and a full time internship which mean my life will SUCK for the next 12 weeks. I can survive 12 weeks right?......

Happy 2nd Birthday Mylie!

A list of 24 reasons why I love Mylie (since she's 24 months old). Lots of pictures to follow :o)

1. She smiles 24/7. Whether it's a crazy smile, goofy smile, sleepy smile, mischievous smile, etc. S

2. Mylie's curiosity is one of my FAVORITE things about her. Everything she finds has the potential to provide hours or entertainment.

3. EVERYTHING is a toy. She found a hair scrunchie one morning and played with it for almost an hour! She popped her ball over the weekend and just played with the deflated plastic, hahaha!

4. She's gorgeous. What? It's true.

5. She makes me laugh harder than anyone or anything. I have laughed to the point of rolling on the floor more than once with her!

6. She can make me smile...no matter what.

7. She's a good listener. As long as I scratch her belly, she'll listen to me as long as I want.

8. She hops when she's excited. Cutest.Thing.Ever.

9. She's SMART! She kinda freaks me out sometimes! It would be a lot easier to trick her if she didn't know what I was going to do before I do it!

10. She's loving. She loves everyone and everything. At least she tries to.

11. When we tell her "Shhhhhhh!" she barks very softly!

12. Her tail is a weapon. It's like being hit with a baseball bat. It cracks me up.

13. Her curly butt hair :o)

14. She can fly. Not really but it isn't far from the truth! I should teach her to play flyball!

15. She makes the funniest facial expressions! Her sleepy face and her "embarrassed" face are my favorites. She gives the "embarrassed"one to her dad a lot!

16. She likes when I sing to her. I make up songs with her name in them and she just smiles. Although sometimes I get the "embarrassed" look I just mentioned.

17. She's go with the flow. She goes where we go and she's fine with it! That makes having a dog so much easier!

18. She's a cuddle monkey. She LOVES to cuddle on the couch with me or in the bed with Chris and I. Even when we banish her to the foot of the bed she will snuggle up with our feet!

19. She's my shadow. She follows me everywhere I go. If I shut a door with her on the other side, she will stick her nose under it and softly cry until I come get her. Annoying at times, but I'm never lonely!

20. She's enthusiastic. Everything is an adventure, everything is fun...even going to the vet!

21. She's soft and smells good. That can be attributed to her love of bathes.

22. When she swims she won't use her back legs and ends up floating like a coke bottle in the water. It is hilarious and very endearing. Silly girl!

23. She shakes her butt/hips when she walks.

24. She loves life. She literally wakes up every day with a smile and enjoys every second no matter what happens. She teaches me how I should live my life.

I love this little girl so much! With all that is happening in this country, she may be the only child I ever choose to have! Happy Birthday to my Sunshine!

February so far...

Well, February started out busy with Mackenzie's 14th Birthday dinner at P.F Changs (Feb 5th) and Courtney's 28th Birthday the following night (Feb 6)! With all the studying I do, it's hard to find the time for 2 events in one weekend, but it was so worth it because Chris and I both needed the down time!

Me with the Birthday girl, my sister in law, Mackenzie!

Laura, Chris and I headed over to Courtney and Gary's on the 6th for Courtney's 28th Birthday. Chris was not in the mood to take pictures, but Laura and I got some good ones :o)

Laura and I with the Birthday girl!

The ladies at Courtney's Birthday party (wow, I'm fat. I've lost 2 lbs since this picture...only 10 more to go, lol!)

Minutes before we walked out the door Friday (Feb 12) for our Valentines dinner at Maggianos, these arrived at our door!

I rarely get flowers, so I was SO surprised and SO happy with these beauties!!

Kisses from my other Valentine (she was actually kissing me but my camera is SO slow, I missed it!) She got Dingo bones and new squeaky balls!

Chris made "Valentines" dinner Saturday night; his delicious stuffed burgers! I made the sides: Italian style green beans and chips (okay, I bought the chips...). Afterward, we watched 'The Time Travelers Wife' which was disappointing. And confusing.

I was thinking all Valentine's weekend about Chris's and my first Valentines together (2004). He was a sophomore and I was a freshman at UMHB. It was a Friday and all classes were canceled because it snowed that day! He bought me roses, and I got him a George Straight CD. We canceled our other plans, and Chris, Sarah and I drove over in the FREEZING cold and snow to the farm. The next morning, we woke up to almost 6 inches of snow! What an awesome memory! I have pictures, but sadly they are on my old laptop which now has a dead battery so I can't get them!

So far, February has been stressful and insanely busy but somehow still fun! I hope the rest of the semester goes the same (only less stressful and busy!) Spring Break in t-minus 17 school days!!!!!!!!!!!!
