Not-So-Wordless Wednesday

I am so anxious, excited, apprehensive, nervous etc that I could vomit, cry, freak out, have a panic attack, etc! I am so in love with all four houses our Realtor is biding on, and I will be beyond THRILLED with ANY of them (oddly Chris and I have very different favs which could be funny). I have been praying ALL day for trust, calm, and a sense of peace for whatever happens. I feel good about what is happening so far and can only pray it continues. I want to post pics but won't until/if we get one of the houses! I am hoping to know something FOR SURE by Friday...Monday worst case senerio. I think I will honestly lose MY MIND if I don't! I just want to know if I should start packing (AHHHHHHH!) or keep looking (BOOOOOOOO!).

PS- Thankfully I am going out with my BFF Saturday and she is good at distracting me...even if all we talk about are these houses, lol! She still helps me feel much better :o)

My Husband Rocks Fridays

Chris rocks this week for working has hard as he has to get things moving on our house hunt! I found a house last week in Tomball in a golf course community (uh oh!) called Gleannloch Farms that we LOVE! Since then, Chris has taken off like a steam engine to get things worked out to move on this house ASAP! I have been so confused and overwhelmed but loans, rates, inspections, fees, money, money, money, etc that I have found myself wondering why anyone could or would want to buy a house, lol! Not my hubby though! He rocks!

I don't want to jinx anything because this is far from a closed deal, but we DO tour it Tuesday (as well as a couple others we like) and I am pumped! I just pray that this is the one for us because so far we love, love, love it! I love the thought of finally getting to have a HOME with Chris and Mylie.

Thanks for handling all the legal mubo-jumbo babe! Don't worry, when we move in and it's time to decorate/furnish/clean/pack/unpack/paint/etc...that's MY time to shine! See? It's all about the give and take :o)

Mothers Day 2009

Last year on Mother's Day I got the best gift ever, my sweet little ray of sunshine, Mylie! Truly the best gift I have ever received. Here we are Mother's Day 2008.

This year on Mother's Day, I was in the bathroom fixing my hair so we could go order our new living room furniture, when I heard Chris call to me "Hey babe, Mylie is headed your way, and I think she has something in her mouth,. Could you get it?" I turned around and I saw this standing in the door way...

Chris bought me a Golden Retriever charm from James Avery for my charm bracelet, and Mylie so sweetly delivered it to me without destroying the box, lol! She is such a good sport and my husband was so sweet to think to get me something!

I know most people think we are silly for celebrating Mother's Day when our child is a dog, but she is, and always will be, our first baby! And by golly, the first 6-9 months of this "child's" life was quite a challenge! Getting up in the middle of the night for potty breaks, cleaning poop, pee, and vomit, puppy proofing the house, keeping things OUT of her mouth, sacrificing things I want to buy/do/see for things she needs (I don't even want to add the total cost we've spent on this little girl in her 14 months, but I know it is over $2000...way over.) It was all worth it and she has grown into such an easy dog. She (like her Mom and Dad) loves to nap, thank Heavens!

I love her more than words can say, and now and forever I am so proud to be this beautiful, hilarious, loving little girl's Mommy! I hope all the Mom's out there had a wonderful Mother's Day!

Apparently this is a new Friday blog tradition where each week you should the blog world a room in your home. This weeks edition: KITCHEN!

Yep, this is my tiny little apartment kitchen which I love! And, of course, I could not have a picture of my kitchen with out my cooking sidekick, Mylie!

The sink where I wash all the dishes. I still have not convinced Chris that whoever cooks should not have to do the dishes. Dang.

Where all the cooking "magic" happens.

The bar which I use for picture display

Some of my favorite decorations

The KitchenAide mixer we got as a wedding presents which after almost three years of marriage has been used....twice. Hey, I'm a cook, not a baker.

So, that's my kitchen. Maybe I will update when the new stuff arrives!
