38 weeks

[This was actually 37 weeks...I didn't take one this week]

How far along? 38 weeks

Total weight gain/loss: I think 12 lbs. I haven't weighed myself recently...really, what's the point? Clearly I failed in this department. Just as I will probably fail at losing said weight afterward. My body is so stupid.

Maternity clothes?  Mostly tops, I'm down to 1 pair of non-maternity pants that fit [with the button undone]. I'm certainly not buying anything else at this point!

Stretch marks?  None.

Sleep: I'm not sleeping much because I'm constantly awake checking to be sure she's moving. I'm exhausted, but I should probably just learn to function as such, lol.

Best moment this month: This month has been stressful. A couple of not so great ultrasounds revealed my placenta sucks and she's not growing like she should anymore. I think the best moment will be when she's born on Monday [!!!] assuming she's healthy and okay.

Movement: I do kick counts alllllllllll the time and she seems to be moving well. Lots of stretching and pushing on my organs. I'm trying to cherish it all...soon, it won't be just me and her anymore :o( I'm going to miss it a lot.

Food cravings:  Honestly, nothing. I haven't had much of an appetite.

Gender: A girl

Labor Signs: None, unfortunately. That should make my induction especially pleasant, lol. I am 1 cm dilated and 50% effaced. That's it. Maybe I will go into labor on my own? That's would be awesome.

Belly button in or out? Still half and half. Still disgusting.

What I miss: Nothing...I have loved being pregnant. I will really miss it. Getting her here, healthy, is all that matters now though.

What I am looking forward to: Seeing her! Holding her! Hopefully seeing that, though she's tiny, she's just fine!

Monthly Wisdom: Probably just learning there is nothing more important that knowing your child is safe and healthy. Sounds obvious but until that is questioned, I don't think you really understand it.

Milestones: Being told the date I will meet my daughter! I'd say that's a pretty HUGE milestone! October 8, 2012 will change our world forever! Prayers are always welcome :o)

32 weeks...

How far along? 32 weeks

Total weight gain/loss: I haven't weighed myself in close to a week, but I think I'm 8 lbs over my pre pregnancy weight.

Maternity clothes?  I officially can NOT stand to wear maternity pants. The band around my belly makes me sweat like a pig. So, as far as pants go, I'm screwed at this point. I feel sorry for my husband.

Stretch marks?  None, thankfully. Yet.

Sleep: I can't sleep at night much at all. I make myself turn the lights off at 2am, but I usually toss and turn for hours afterward. I'm not sure why because I'm SO tired.

Best moment this month: We had another beautiful shower hosted by my best friend and my cousin. Seeing her at her 30 week growth scan. She's pretty tiny, in the 38th percentile, but they assure us she's normal and healthy. Lord only knows where she gets her tininess from...she's German and Scottish, for crying out loud!

Movement: She gets the hiccups ALL.THE.TIME. Her movements are definitely bigger and stronger. She contorts my belly into the strangest shapes and even others have started to notice!

Food cravings:  Peaches (I eat a dozen a week), horseradish (which is normally completely repulsive), chocolate covered pretzels.

Gender: A girl, proven up close and personal AGAIN. Poor thing, we should probably give her some privacy now.

Labor Signs: None, thank God. That can stay far, far away for another 7-8 weeks!

Belly button in or out? It popped half way out on Friday. It's the most disgusting thing I have ever seen...I can't even look at it.

What I miss: Not much. Although my chin seems to be disappearing into my neck more and more everyday, so I guess I miss having a chin.

What I am looking forward to: I'm thankful for everyday I am still pregnant and she is healthy!

Monthly Wisdom: I can think of no wisdom for this month.

Milestones: 8 weeks until my due date, 5 weeks until I'm full term. No way.

29 weeks

How far along? 29 weeks

Total weight gain/loss: I'm about 5-6 lbs over my pre pregnancy weight.

Maternity clothes?  About 50/50. Some regular, some maternity.

Stretch marks?  None, thankfully. Yet.

Sleep: I'm not sleeping well. I wake up at least once an hour and either have to re-arrange myself, Mylie, or Chris. It's a circus.

Best moment this month: We got to see her at both (yes, we had to have 2) 3d/4d ultrasounds. Neither went great because she just wasn't having it, but the second was better than the first! She loves her hands, umbilical cord, and sleep! Let's all pray the last one continues outside the womb...amen!

Movement: She seems to be perfecting her synchronized swimming skills lately. Less kicks and more rolls, wiggles and stretches. She is still super active some days, not active others. The latter always causes me to jump on google and look up all kinds of scary information no first time mom should read!

Food cravings:  Blue bell ice cream sandwiches. Now I understand my sudden weight surge...

Gender: A girl (proven...in 3d!)

Labor Signs: Braxton hicks contractions were quite bad for a while, but I think I wasn't drinking enough water. I thought 80-90 ounces was enough...

Belly button in or out?  Still in but I took my bellybutton ring out. It didn't need to come out, but I thought keeping it in was starting to make me look desperate for my youth.

What I miss: Not having heartburn! It is SO miserable. Although considering that is my only real complaint, I know I'm pretty lucky (knock on wood!)

What I am looking forward to: I'm thankful for everyday I am still pregnant and she is healthy!

Monthly Wisdom: Appreciate each day she is inside me and safe and sound! It has really started to hit me lately that in a very short time, everything is going to change! I know it will be wonderful but also completely and utterly overwhelming.

Milestones: 3rd trimester, 2/3 done with my pregnancy. Annnnnnd....panic attack.

24 weeks

 Well.....

Clearly, weekly updates were far too big of a commitment for me. So, I will now be doing monthly pregnancy updates...

How far along? 24 weeks

Total weight gain/loss: 5-6 lbs total, 2 lbs over pre-pregnancy weight.

Maternity clothes?  All regular pants but mostly maternity shirts. I am loving dresses but finding non-moo moo maternity dresses is not easy. Unless you want to spend $50. Which I do not.

Stretch marks?  None, thankfully. Yet.

Sleep: I'm sleeping so-so. My back and hips are ruined by the time I wake up. Also, my heartburn is definitely getting worse and leading to more and more nights spent sitting up.

Best moment this month: Her "perfect" anatomy scan at 21 weeks, feeling her move alllllll the time, feeling her have hiccups for the first time, buying her crib!

Movement: Most days she moves a lot (although some days she is very quiet) and her movements are definitely getting bigger.

Food cravings:  Anything that won't give me heartburn. So basically, I'm craving air.

Gender: Still a girl (as far as we know!)

Labor Signs: None, praise the Lord!

Belly button in or out?  Still very, very in. Although I can see the end of it now. I really don't think mine will pop.

What I miss: Sleeping on my back, having heart-burn-free moments.

What I am looking forward to: I'm thankful for everyday I am still pregnant and she is healthy!

Monthly Wisdom: If the old wives tale about heartburn indicating the amount of hair your child will have is true, I may give birth to Chewbacca.

Milestones: Viability!!!!!!!

20 weeks...

Well, as I have had several requests for further documentation of my pregnancy, and as I have yet to announce my pregnancy on my blog, AND as I am now half way done, here we go...

How far along? 20 weeks

Total weight gain/loss: 3 lbs but still 2lbs away from my pre-pregnancy weight.

Maternity clothes?  All regular pants but mostly maternity shirts. They suggest that I am pregnant and not just chunky.

Stretch marks?  None, thankfully. Yet.

Sleep: I sleep like the dead. Any time, any where.

Best moment this week: Chris felt her kick at 19 weeks exactly and we saw her kick the same day!

Movement: I definitely feel her move everyday. Some days I only feel her once or twice, other days I feel her all day!

Food cravings:  Peaches, cereal, and icees.

Gender: A girl (as far as we know!) We will confirm it at her anatomy scan at 21 weeks.

Labor Signs: None, praise the Lord!

Belly button in or out?  Still very, very in. I have the deepest bellybutton known to human kind.

What I miss: Sleeping on my back.

What I am looking forward to: I'm just thankful for everyday I am still pregnant and she is healthy.

Weekly Wisdom: I need to stop buying baby clothes! Chris and I have come to this conclusion together :o)

Milestones: Half way done!

New Years 2011...

Courtney, Gary, Chris, and I started the night with dinner at PF Changes. We got an AWESOME table outside (because the bartender LOVES us, lol) and the food was great! The 4 of us are regulars there!

After dinner Melissa, Paul, Courtney, Gary, Chris, and I (and Mylie, Beck, and Darby) had a great night with delicious food, great drinks, MW3, and board games! We had a blast!

The Scotts and Manninos rarely take a normal picture, LOL!!!

Fireworks!!!!!!!!!

"I hate New Years Eve."
Poor girl vomited all night from her stupid thyroid meds and the fireworks. I should have left her with her Grandma and Grandpa...she would have had a much better night :o(

Wishing you and yours a happy, healthy, and WONDERFUL 2012! 2011 was a very difficult year, and we hope everyday this year turns out better than the last!
