My thoughts on the New Year...

I remember this time last year, I was SO ready for the year to end. I was working a job I hated and had been able to take all of two days off for the holidays. I felt so lost and confused and frustrated with my life and could only hope a New Year would bring some insight into my future. (Not to mention on top of all that, my sister in law had died about a week earlier). Don't get me wrong, I was happy in my life but very restless and longing for a purpose.

This year I feel different. I look back on 2009 with a smile on my face. I can honestly say it was a great year. In 2009 I:
- Quit my job at Pain and Health Management (and never looked back I might add).
- Started back to school and made a 4.0! (that will be a memory soon as I take my one and only math this semester, EEK!)
- Chris and I bought our first home which we LOVE and feel so at home here already!
- Moved from Katy to Tomball (okay, this is a NEGATIVE. You can't win them all, I guess.)

There is definitely more but those were just the major points. I will write more later about my New Years resolutions when I get some together (as well as how I did on last years resolutions HA HA HA!) Hopefully I will have pictures to post, although I just looked in the mirror and may "forget" my camera at home tonight :o)

I leave you with this...New Years Eve 2008
Chris, Mylie and I are headed over to my Mom and Dad's for pizza, junk food, drinks, games, Wii, and fireworks with family! Just the way we love to ring in the New Year!!! I hope and pray everyone has a safe and happy New Year!

Christmas break....so far....

It's hard to believe I have been out of school for a week and a half and even MORE hard to believe that Christmas is in 3 days!!!!!!!!!! Where does the time go?

The best gift I have EVER gotten...my Mylie!!!

Christmas dinner at Maggiano's with my BFF Laura and her fiance Morgan! It was SOOOO fun! (I look big as a barn...please excuse me.)

We had Christmas early with Chris's family! (Mamaw, Mackenzie, Chris, and me. Judie, my mom-in-law, was taking the picture).

Mylie opening her Christmas presents! (A new bed, a frisbee, and a toothbrush...she was not thrilled with the toothbrush, lol!)

Mylie seems to really like her new bed (unless she has access to Mom and Dad's bed ;o))

This was the best picture I could get of our lights!

I hope everyone has a VERY Merry (and safe) Christmas and a VERY Happy (and safe) New Year! I pray everyone will remember the REAL reason for the season, the birth of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior! I'm SO excited for this Christmas and all the time with family! I'll post pictures when I get back from the farm on Dec 27th!

Snow (kinda, sorta)

Well, the majority of Houston and its surrounding areas got 1-3 inches of snow today! We, in the black hole hick town otherwise known as Tomball, got about 1/2 an inch. It snowed a TON but next to nothing seemed to stick! Oh well, it was still so fun and such a rare occurrence here! Chris and I enjoyed every second, Mylie Moo on the other hand seems to hate snow even more than she hates rain! There go my plans for a winter house in Breckenridge, Colorado ;o)

Mom, can we please go in now?

What the heck is this?

We had flurries all morning, but it FINALLY started to really come down around 2pm and lasted about 2 hrs!

The ONLY thing that could get her out in the snow again was Daddy coming home!

Brrrrr!

Not often we born and bred Texans see snow!!!

Chris's #1 concern: his plants.
