Big Girls Don't Cry...

Well, this girl does, and I do, every Monday and Wednesday after Math class. I'm pretty sure I look something similar to this...

I consider it an accomplishment that I don't, a) Cry in class, and b) Throw my book at the teacher and stomp out.

I HATE MATH!!!!!!!!

New Years

New Years Eve was a blast, as usual. Chris, Mylie, and I spent the night at Mom and Dad's. We had pizza, drinks, games, fireworks, movies, etc. We had a great time, other than the minute we spent searching the ENTIRE house for Mylie thinking she had gotten out of the house somehow and run off during the fireworks. Probably the scariest minute of my life. Where did we find her? There is picture evidence further below.

Beginning of the night...Mylie was SO excited, I could not get her to pose for anything!!!

Wii bowling! Go Dad, Go! He did REALLY well considering he had never played before. He couldn't beat the Wii bowling champion however (ME!!!)

More Wii bowling...

Sarah beat me at Wii Tennis...then again, my remote was set to left handed, so I was at a slight disadvantage ;o)

Chris and I kickin' butt at Catchphrase!

My family New Years Eve 2009!

Sarah and I freezing while shooting fireworks.

Chris trying to comfort poor Mylie and Madde during the fireworks!

Mylie was terrified during the fireworks and this is where we found her. I think she felt closer to Jesus this way????

This was New Years night at home, the first time we've EVER used our fireplace. We will be using it a lot this week since the lows range from 32 degrees to 17 degrees. CRAZY!

Bobby was visiting from Cali! (This was actually on Jan 2nd)

Well, last years resolutions (lose weight, work out, go back to school, be a better wife) didn't all turn out so well. I did lose 5 lbs...however, I gained 4 during the year so the net loss was only 1 lb. Not even worth mentioning. I was more active because Mylie requires it, but still not enough for my waning metabolism. I went back to school YAY! It is a daily challenge to be a better wife, some days I succeed, some days I fail.

This year I am going to resolve to:
-Be a better wife (again, something I will work on daily)
-Lose weight and be fit (I want to lose 7 lbs). I know this is vain, but I want to feel good about myself again and not be torn between laughing and crying when I look in the mirror. Sad, but true.
- Give 100% in school. I did it last semester and I want to do it again. With math coming this semester, full time school and internship this summer, and some of my hardest classes in the fall, I have to find a way to stay focused and not get discouraged!
- Give money I want to send on myself to others (Chris and I are going to pick 2 or 3 charities to give to monthly over the next year.)
